Describe your experience before booking
A horse safari is not one standard ride. Beginner introductions and more demanding outdoor routes can differ in terrain, pace and supervision. Tell the operator whether you have ridden before and describe the needs of everyone in your group.
Age, height, weight or other participation conditions depend on the programme. Ask directly rather than relying on another provider’s rules. If health or mobility affects participation, discuss suitability with the relevant professional and the operator before making a commitment.
Check instruction and time on horseback
Clarify helmet provision, briefing, horse allocation and staff supervision. Do not confuse hotel transfers and preparation at the yard with riding time. Ask how the introduction, practice and outdoor section appear in the written offer.
Follow staff instructions around horses; do not feed or approach them for photographs without permission. Establish the waiting arrangements for companions who prefer not to ride. Everyone in the group may not want to take part.
Prepare for the actual route
Use the operator’s current clothing guidance, including suitable closed shoes and longer clothing where recommended. Carry water and sun protection. Record the programme name, meeting point and poor-weather conditions. Jeep safari is a different outdoor activity. Balance the day with rest in your personal itinerary rather than booking every outdoor experience together.
